Answers, in plain English
If what you need is not here, ring the dispatch desk — the people who answer the phone are the people who allocate the jobs.
Booking and deliveries
How quickly can you collect?
It depends where you are. Collection is quickest in the cities our couriers are based in, longer in the suburbs and the commuter belt, and longest in rural areas where a courier has to be allocated and travel to you. Your quote shows the window for the postcode you actually typed rather than a national average, and the dispatch desk will tell you straight away if traffic or demand means it will be longer.
What insurance is included?
Cover to £500 for your goods in transit is included in every fare, subject to our conditions of carriage, the list of items we cannot carry, and the item being packaged properly for transit. Higher cover can be arranged for a particular job — tell us the value when you book rather than after something has gone wrong.
What can you not carry?
Cash and bearer instruments, live animals, hazardous or flammable goods, controlled drugs outside an approved pharmacy contract, unpackaged glass or ceramics, and anything illegal. If you are not sure, ring us before you book and we will tell you honestly.
What happens if nobody is there?
The courier rings the recipient and waits ten minutes at no charge. After that we follow whatever you have told us — a safe place, a neighbour, a second attempt, or a return to you. Every outcome is logged with a reason and a photograph. Waiting beyond ten minutes is charged by the minute and a return journey is charged at the original fare.
Do I need an account to book?
No. A one-off delivery can be booked and paid by card with no sign-up at all. An account adds thirty day invoicing, saved addresses, several users and spreadsheet upload, which is worth having from about ten jobs a month.
Prices and invoicing
How is the price worked out?
A vehicle base rate covers the first mile, then a per-mile rate applies to the road distance beyond that. Faster services carry a multiplier on top. Congestion Charge, ULEZ, waiting beyond ten minutes and any parking the courier has to pay are itemised separately and shown before you pay.
Will the price change after I book?
Not unless the job changes. The fare is fixed when you book it. It only moves if you add a stop, keep the courier waiting beyond the free ten minutes, or change the address to something further away — and each of those is itemised on the invoice rather than folded into a bigger number.
How late can I book for same day?
Six in the evening for standard same day on a local run. City-centre bookings are accepted later for delivery before midnight. Long-distance runs have an earlier cut-off because the driving time has to fit in the day — the quote tells you. Overnight and pre-nine-in-the-morning runs are booked the day before.
Business accounts
What does a business account give us?
Thirty day credit terms and one consolidated invoice instead of a card payment per job, unlimited users with spend limits, a saved address book, cost codes and purchase order references per job, spreadsheet upload for up to three hundred drops, and recurring routes that book themselves each morning.
Can you integrate with our shop?
Yes — Shopify, WooCommerce, Magento and Zapier out of the box, or our REST API for anything else. We return a live quote for the basket postcode at your checkout, book on payment and push a webhook on delivery. Most teams are live within a day.
Do you report on performance?
Account customers get on-time rates by zone and vehicle, failed-drop reasons and spend by team, emailed weekly. Over a hundred jobs a month you also get a named account manager rather than a general support queue.
Driving with us
What do I need to drive with you?
Hire and reward insurance for your vehicle, goods in transit cover, the right to work in the UK, and a smartphone. We verify all of it before your first job and check it again annually. You will also need a bank account in your own name for payouts.
How and when do couriers get paid?
Every forty-eight hours on completed jobs, with a per-job breakdown in the app and a weekly statement for your bookkeeping. There is no joining fee, no weekly platform charge and no minimum balance to reach before you are paid.
Do I have to work set hours?
No. You go online when you want to and take the jobs you want. We do not set shifts and we do not penalise your acceptance rate. The fare and the full route are on screen before you accept anything, so there are no blind jobs.
